i dont even know.... haha....

Potty Training.

Thats all. I have NO words for it.  Other than its the most frustrating stage I have dealt with with my son since he was born.  WHY is it so frustrating? WHY does he do so well for so long only to slip at the strangest times?  I must say that I get MORE frustrated when its a BM accident.... why? cuz its GROSS!  UGH.

This morn, I am cooking the breakfast, and I made eggs, home fries and bacon for me and Kal.  Of course I was busy in the kitchen, and my hubby is at work, but that hasnt stopped my son BEFORE from saying something to me about needing to use the potty........  Instead, I look back, find him bottom naked, thinking he left wet pants in the bathroom, I go in, find the poop filled undies instead.  He has NOT done a BM in his underwear since probably DECEMBER.  UGH.  Just frustrated today!

On another note, I walked out of the house to gain some composure from being angry about the accident, so I didnt blow up on Kal about it, and I find although it rained last night, its nice, sunny and warm currently. However, I see that more storms are planning on rolling in by noon... UGH again.  Maybe we can get out for a walk or something BEFORE that happens today.....

Finally, 36 weeks checkup this evening!!  Now since I had a lil scare on Friday and went to the doctors, he did my Strep B test already, which is one thing they were going to need to do tonight.... However I also have an ultrasound scheduled that is supposed to give me an estimation on how big lil Chloe is.  Now I have a regular check up too, but who knows if we will keep that, but I guess we will.... He can at least check my dilation and all of that, which I doubt there is any yet! (there wasnt anything going on as of Friday).

Ok,  I feel a lil better now, gonna see if we can spend some time outdoors before it gets icky.......

so tired......

I dont even have a witty title for today.

I dont have energy for anything.  So much for nesting.  I still feel symptoms of that cold lingering around even though I thought at first it was gone.  I am tired and I ache everywhere.  I swear this girl is using my lungs as her pillow for I can barely take a breath anymore!  I am 3 days away from 36 weeks, and as I get closer to the "full term" mark I just keep thinking... OK I am DONE! COME OUT!  lol......

I am soooooo not ready for her tho.  I barely have any clothes yet.  I have the bassinet set up and the swing just needs some batteries, and I guess the car seat is almost ready since she will just be using Kalvins old one.....

I would love to have a video monitor, and a breast pump, but those are 2 expensive things that are just not in the budget right now.  Kinda sad cuz 2 people I know that are expecting within the same week as me are having a shower, one of which is on her second child (4 years apart) same gender, but it seems I wont be getting one.

I am buying a new crib bedding set, but that might as well wait till she arrives.... since she will spend the first 2-3 months in our room in the bassinet more than likely afterall...... maybe when taxes come in I can at least get the video monitor... which also I guess can wait since she will live in our room in the beginning....

I need to make a hospital bag..... right now I want a nap.  Greg is working late.  should be leaving work in about 1/2 hour.... its pizza night.... fine by me cuz I have NO energy for cooking today!

Overwhelmed.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed lately.... laundry backed up, dishes dirty in the sink, Kalvins toys everywhere.......

I just do not have the energy to do any of it today.  And I am still worried about having this baby too early.  I cant wait till monday cuz its my 36 week appointment and much closer to full term, and if something happens after that I can feel more at ease.  They start the more evasive checkups on monday, so they will at least be checking week to week whether there is any tears or leaks, dilating and all of that jazz.  plus I will get that stinking strep b test over with, and they are doing an ultrasound for the baby's size.

Kalvin has been really hitting a nerve in me today too, and I just do not know why.  He ruined my chapstick and I am sick of telling him NOT to touch stuff like that.  His potty training is like a freaking see-saw, last week I think I changed his undies 1 time in the day the WHOLE week, a few times he had accidents at night (took away pull-ups as an experiment)  But this week I have had to change him several times each day, including twice today!

Idk... maybe if I felt better and wasnt so sleepy today would be a better day....

some things will NEVER change.....

Well, talking to Greg about last night HELPED ZERO/ZILCH NADA.

I love Greg and we get along and everything is fine with our marriage,  but SOME THINGS... SOME THINGS, he just NEVER EVER will see my side, and its just pointless because I WILL NEVER win the argument.  It really upsets me that he KNOWS it bothers me, but what is his excuse? "WE WEREN'T DOING ANYTHING"

The house was a mess, I was TRYING to clean but didnt feel well.  Not like John has never seen the house a mess before but STILL.  I didnt feel good, and just wanted a QUIET night. He was over Sunday night.  why again????  Greg DID invite him I found out... but WHY can't he JUST tell me he is going to?  WHY do I have to find out he is coming over AS there is a KNOCK at our door????

Seriously why 2 nights in a row?   And I NEVER know when he will show up.  would anyone ELSE find this annoying????? Seriously? Am I the only one that thinks its RUDE to NOT give your wife a HEADS UP you invited someone to the house?????????????????

Someone please take me away

I dont know where to start.

I dont know if its pregnancy hormones raging or WHAT.  But I am overly annoyed lately.  One specific reason.  I swear to God my BIL has been over here MORE OFTEN than NOT over here.  And he either tells Greg is he coming over and GREG does NOT tell me, or he just SHOWS THE F UP.

I'm sick with a cold, I'm 35 weeks pregnant and TIRED.   I DO NOT NEED RANDOM house GUESTS 5 days a week.

SOMEONE PLEASE just take me out of here before I kill someone.  When I first moved to be with Greg in Baltimore and for most of the first year and 1/2 of our marriage, we lived with John to help pay bills and eventually be able to have a house.  We did not get along AT ALL but I think its cuz he was ALWAYS around and interfering with my relationship with Greg.  Things have been sooooooo much better since we got our own place and he got his own, and he only showed up every few weeks, or once a week at most...... He was here yesterday because GREG invited him I think for dinner.  (I THINK)  I have NO IDEA why he is here TODAY again.  I am just tired of it all.  Last week he was around at least 4 days that week.

Does anyone ELSE see a problem with his constant bombardment of our home or am I being BITCHY about it??????

Nesting and other random thoughts...

So I think nesting is kicking in!  I just went though our fridge and scrubbed the entire thing inside and out... I havent done that in a LONG time.  A small wipe here or there, but I scubbed it down completely... lol.  also I had no idea we had some jars of things that had expired over a year ago??  EWW.  LOL.

Anyway. Can anyone tell me why my husband constantly screams at his video games like its life or death if he makes it though??

I had more in my head before I started this but my husbands screaming has lost my train of thought...... UGH.

All State can __________ !

Fill in that blank with any explicit phrase that come to your mind!!!!!!!!!!!

So I am back on a rant about All State.  I dont know how in detail I got in my very first post about this, but it turns out that Greg NEVER left Gieco, but when he was talking to an All State agent about HOME OWNERS insurance in JUNE, that he would go with their car insurance too, because they quoted slightly lower than Gieco.  Well, when Greg called Gieco to CANCEL, Gieco went just a little bit lower.  Low enough that Greg decided NOT to cancel!  So technically he had All State and Gieco for a week maybe.... He called All State back and said he decided NOT to leave Gieco and to cancel just the car insurance part.  The woman on the phone was kinda mad, he said, but said... well I will note that you cancelled, you might get a bill in the mail, but IGNORE IT.

SOOOOOOOOO.... even tho Greg should have done something after months and months of All State bills coming to us, he just said, oh its All State, I cancelled, she told me to disreguard it.  Well, I constantly ignore 800 numbers, so if they called, I wouldnt know.... haha... BUT when they told the MVA we havent paid and do not have coverage in NOVEMBER you would THINK the MVA would send us notification of our tags being revoked??? NOPE.  (now thats a whole new rant on the efficency of the damn DMV workers of this country)

Anyway, I am on a new rant now because we got a phonecall, and it actually left a voicemail, that there is an attempt to collect a debt and they are willing to settle on a partial payment.... well the company asking for the money is never mentioned, BUT I know it has to be All State, since thats the ONLY bill we are having problems with currently.

When Greg was at the MVA even THEY said we are not responsible to pay them ANYTHING, when Greg explained to them what happened.   Is fighting this WORTH the trouble though??????

UGH I am just so mad.  SOOOOOOOOOOOOO mad........

The trials of a Pregnant mom with a preemie child

So, this past Sunday, I hit the 34 week mark of this pregnancy.   Not without event.  Monday morning, (during week 33 still) I wake up with dampness.  Now most of you that know me, know Kalvin was born because of a premature rupture of the membranes.... that I was unaware of for days.....

So that morning  (wee hours... as in 330) after Superbowl Sunday XLV (a sad Sunday for a Steelers fan btw... lol), I wake up and have unexplained dampness??  Of course my first thought is amniotic fluid!!  Then I go through all the OTHER non emergency things it could also be, trying to get myself to sleep.  I tell Greg what happened, and even his first utterance was "you don't think it was fluid do you?"  Needless to say, I did not get much sleep the rest of that night, and decided to call my OBs office.  Of course they want to see me that day.  It turned out to be nothing, but the doctor told me, if it happens again, to call again, and then ticked off a bunch of other important reasons to call immediately.

So of course, Saturday, It happens again, but during the day, not as much, but 2 different times that day within hours of each other.... so of course, I call, this time had to use the emergency line since the office was closed for the weekend..... this time I had to be seen at Labor and Delivery,  and once again.... everything was fine.

I feel like I am being so over paranoid, but what can I do?  With Kalvin I was clueless.  I never even thought my fluid would be leaking like that, especially that early on.  I totally assumed the lil bugger was just using my bladder as a trampoline, or a punching bag... lol.  Nope. It was well worse than that.  And do you think my doctors have any definitive answers to why it happened? No.  Can they give me any reassurance that it wont happen again?  No.

Now, My boy at 34 weeks, was mainly healthy and very little problems at birth.  He did not need a machine to breathe, his lungs were good and strong.  He was 4lbs which is TINY but he was great otherwise.  He had jaundice, which full termers can suffer from.  But, he still had to spend 2 weeks in a NICU and I had to leave the hospital without my baby when I was realeased.  For anyone else that has had to do this, you know this is about the worst feeling EVER as a new mom to have to experience, and to those that never did have to go through it, can probably imagine.  I am actually crying right now from the memories of those long 2 weeks.....

Obviously I was blessed, because especially in the first week, when he was in the more intensive area of the NICU, I saw babies so much smaller and in a lot worse condition and I can remember crying for those parents and babies daily.  I spent alot of the first 2 weeks crying actually...  I cried when I had to leave.  I cried at night when I was pumping to keep up my breast milk supply.  I basically cried everytime I was pumping actually, because instead of having a baby in my arms attempting to feed, I was attached to machines like a cow, staring at a picture of my baby trying to produce more milk.....
My teeny guy only a few days/weeks old

And now I look at him, and he never fails to amaze me!  He is growing like a weed and learning new things and talking more and more and more in full sentences to the point of basically being a normal 2 almost 3 year old boy.  He is using the potty and while not 100% trained, a lot of other kids his age are farther behind him in that.
my big 1 yr old boy!

2 years old!

today!
So  I guess these 2 runs to the hospital I had this past week wont be the last of this pregnancy, although I hope it is... lol.... at least till after 2 weeks or more from now!!!

Late nights and Potty Training....

Ok, so yesterday Greg had to work a "swing shift" from 1130-1030.  Kal obviously was in bed before Greg got home.  I have been putting pull-ups on Kal JUST for night since we started potty training but I am testing something and decided to take them away even at nights..... 430 I hear Kal crying so I think maybe he wet the bed.  I get up, and he is dry... so I ask him if he has to go potty.... he said yes, but when we went we stood there for a good minute with nothing happening.  He didn't really need to go, but he wouldn't leave till he squeezed out at least one drop... lol.  Anyway, when that FINALLY happened, we went back to bed, but he just kept crying and saying he was "scared" and was pointing to his animal net above his bed and mumbling something I didnt understand.  at 430 in the morning I am not so good to go... so this went on for a lil while till Greg finally came in and took over.  All was good, but Kal got up soon after Greg came back to bed and we just let him sleep in bed with us for the night.

I notice he does this almost all the time when Daddy has the swing shift (its DONE for good now tho!) which has been every other Saturday for the past few months.... Anyway.  I guess its just his routine is being messed with and that Kal  didn't get his bedtime hug and kiss by big and bad monster killing daddy?  lol.... anyway... on to the Potty Training part of this post.

Potty Training officially started with us in November.  We went with the 3 day potty training method.  I did not pay for her "ebook" but had a friend send me her info.  Anyway, i followed it as best I could to what she said to do but altered it just a bit.  Day 1 and 2 were FRUSTRATING! Not gonna lie.  LOTS of wet undies, and the other kind too... (YUCK).  But Day 3... just like she said, it was like something clicked inside of his mind.  I may have changed a wet undie once, or twice that day at most.  And the rest of the week got better, and better and better.  It really works... I THINK.  LOL

Here are the problems.  Well he falls off the "wagon" some days and doesn't bother telling me he is walking around wet. Well, we have done a million things to get him to stop that.  Well lately, he actually IS going to the potty again, but he is not making his queue on time, and is therefore a bit wet, but at least he is going to the bathroom again when this happens and telling me he needs new undies.

The other problem seems, well, once he goes ONCE, its like his bladder needs to empty every 15 min.  Or at least, he ends up wet and running back to the potty a 2nd time 15 min after the 1st "accident".  I am just wondering if he is not emptying his bladder completely the first time and doesn't realize it?

And so back to the beginning, and why, in the past I would have just comforted him and turned on his music and put him back to bed because he had a pull-up on, I had him go potty thinking night time training would also help the daytime problems?  Of course, the above story about the 2 wet undies in 15 min part happened today... lol.

I can't really complain, because he is at least USING the potty, but I wonder what this "3 day potty lady" would say about it?

Murphy's Law

What can go wrong, WILL go wrong?  or something like that?

Yea thats how I feel today.  ANYWAY.  I normally wouldnt post 2x in a day, but damn, what a freaking day.

We ordered from Dominos and we got pastabowls.   I do not like meat in my sauce so i special ordered mine... it had meat in it anyway.  They sent me the correct order when i called and told them the mistake but here it is 8pm and I am finally actually eating it..... they also took over a free 2 liter of coke.  caffiene or not I am drinking it right now!! UGH! :)

While I was waiting, ADT called our house.  We are on the DNC list.  Been on it for quite some time.  Needless to say given my day I reported them to the DNC registry....

Everyone ELSE is doing it now so....... ;)

OK,  So  I don't even know how good I will be at keeping up with one of these...... BUT.... I am gonna try it anyway.  A lot of my mommy friends have one, and well.... I started thinking I need something other than facebook to sometimes get my thoughts out!!  And that way, I will only bore those friends of mine that actually decided to click my link to read, and I am not limited in how much I can write at a time!!!!

(this is old, but this is how i feel about now!)

Well, my start of this blog, although it has NOTHING to do with my mommyhood, I still need to vent a little.  So its 1pm.  I am about ready to put Kalvin down for his nap.  There is a knock at my door.  I HATE that.  I got immediately annoyed, till I see GREG thru the glass windows..... sooooooo.....

I open the door, and in the background behind Greg I see our Ford Freestyle on a TOW TRUCK getting backed into our parking space in front of our house... it APPEARS to be in tact.  SO..... what is WRONG with it I think????  Greg then proceeds to tell me he was PULLED over and it SEEMS that the MVA insists he has NO Insurance and has not HAD any since NOVEMBER.  Well, he switched POLICIES in November.... so WHY does the MVA not have record of the change??? Whatever tho... When THAT happens, they TAKE your TAGS and TOW you.  So now Greg has to GO to the MVA and get this all straightened out.

Of course all this drama takes a front seat to my sons nap, so he is on full throttle while Daddy was home figuring out exactly what MVA he had to go to and what he needed.......  He is alseep now though, thank Goodness!

So.... trying to calm down right now, and BREATHE, but I am just so freaking pissed and I needed to get out my frustrations, and I had noone to talk to.....  So end result was... start a blog like my other friends and get it out that way!!!

To anyone reading, sorry for my tirade, but I feel better now at least.... wonder how my husband is doing, sitting at the MVA waiting in line to deal with their incompetent workers!!!!

ADDENDUM:
Found out Greg payed 275 for the Damn TOW.  His tags were gonna be up at the end of the month anyway which would have costed 128, but he had to ALSO pay an extra 72 to get the tags that were TAKEN away back?!?!  UGH!  so 475 F-ING dollars later.............. WHY?  Because ALL STATE claimed he owed ONE more month, even though he had already switched to GIECO by then and TOLD them that, but apparently ALL STATE reported that he has NO insurance, even tho there is PROOF he has insurance through GIECO and has since NOVEMBER.  can anyone tell me how this is fair and right???   Is there anything we can do about this?? 475 dollars later? this is unbelievable....
